Home/What it does
What WasteFriendly does
All of this is built and working now. It is what LM Waste runs its own skip and clearance work on every day. If something isn't on this page, it isn't in there yet.
Jobs and the day
You book a job, say who it's for, where it is and what it is, and it lands on the day you put it on. Open today's run and you can see the whole day in order, who it's gone to and what's been done.
- Book a job in a few seconds and put it on a day
- Today's run, in order, with the state of each job
- Customers kept once, so repeat work is two taps
- Job history, so you can look back at what you did and what you charged

The driver app, on the iPhone
It's a proper app from the App Store, not a web page. The driver signs in once with your company code and his own PIN. After that he opens it and his jobs are there.
- He sees only his own jobs — not the rest of the yard's work
- Tap the address and it opens the sat-nav he likes: Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, CoPilot, Sygic or TomTom
- Photos before and after are required to finish a job, so you always have them
- He can send a note back to the office — gate locked, wrong waste, nobody in
- No signal is fine. It keeps working and catches up when the phone gets a bar again
That last one matters on a landfill site or down in a basement car park. The driver isn't stuck and nothing gets lost.
The paperwork
This is the duty-of-care paperwork the Environment Agency expects you to have. WasteFriendly makes it from the job itself, so it matches what actually happened.
- Waste transfer notes for ordinary loads
- Hazardous consignment notes for the loads that need one
- Your waste carrier licence number on the note
- The environmental permit number of the site the waste went to
- Emailed straight to the customer, and kept on the job
Why it's worth having
If somebody asks you to prove where a load went, you look it up and send it. You are not going through a glovebox full of carbon copies.

Enquiries, with photos
You get a "get a quote" page of your own. Put the link on your website, in your Google listing, or on a card. If you'd rather, it can be embedded straight into your own website so it looks like part of it.
- The customer fills it in and attaches photos of the waste
- Photos on enquiries that come in by email land in the same place
- Everything sits in one list in the office, oldest first, nothing missed
- You price the job off the photos before you send a lorry
Pricing off a photo beats pricing off a phone call. You can see whether it's three bags or a garage full, and whether there's a mattress or a fridge in it.
Quotes and invoices
Put your usual items in a price list once — "6-yard skip", "Quarter load", "Mattress" — with the wording and the price you normally charge. After that, quoting is picking items off a list.
- Your price list fills in the wording and the price, so quotes read the same every time
- Send the quote and the customer accepts it by email — accepting books the job itself
- Numbered VAT invoices, in order, with nothing to type twice
- Chase the ones that haven't paid
- Already on Sage or Xero? Tick jobs off and export a CSV for your bookkeeper
It does not replace your accounts package. It stops you writing the same quote out by hand twice a day.

Skip tracking
Give every skip a number and the system keeps track of it. One board tells you where your money is sitting.
- Which skips are out on hire, and at what address
- How many days each one has been out
- Which ones are overdue
- Which are in the yard and which are on a lorry
- Drivers log drop-offs, collections and swaps from the job on their phone
- Overdue skips chase themselves — the customer gets an email without you remembering
- Printable number labels, so the number on the skip matches the number in the system
Skips that quietly sit on a drive for five weeks are the ones that cost you. This is how you find them.
Vehicle checks
The driver does his walk-around on the app before he pulls out, with photos. If something's wrong he reports the defect there and then and you can see it in the office.
- Daily walk-around checks, with photos
- Defects reported from the phone
- Reminders for MOT, tax and inspections, so nothing creeps up on you

Your colours, your logo
The blue on this website is WasteFriendly's own. It is not something you have to live with.
Inside the system, your firm sets its own colours and loads its own logo. Those are what show up on your office screens, on your drivers' app, and on every email your customers get — the quote, the invoice, the transfer note. Your customers see your name and your colours. They don't see ours.
So it looks like your firm
Each company sets this itself and can change it whenever it likes. One firm's colours never affect another's.
